Whos Who in the Zoo
Welcome to the “Who’s Who in the Zoo” construction podcast. My name is Rob Lord; a building design consultant. I fervently believe we design & build better when we have empathy with other stakeholders in the process - the architects, the engineers, the leasing agents etc. Each fortnight, you’ll hear fascinating interviews with people in different roles in the ecology of the construction industry. You will benefit from them describing what their job entails, how your role can intersect with theirs and what challenges they face at the moment. I hope this leads to actionable tips and strategies that you can implement in your developing professional life, to become a more effective designer. Thanks for spending some time with me, now let’s jump into the next episode of practical training.

Episode 1
What does a certifier do? Get to know more on the first episode of Who's in the Zoo with Peter Hofstetter. He has been a building certifier since 1994 and for the past 27 years, he specialised in commercial buildings which include shopping centres, laboratories, hospitals, age care, educational and industrial buildings, high-rise offices, and residential towers. He is the founding director of a building certification company that began in 2000 and specialises in the commercial market sector and invented a tool that quickly and accurately measures the rising and going of stairs. He is a believer in having empathy with fellow disciplines and designers which makes him a perfect guest speaker in the show.
